Network Architect

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Architect to join our IT team. The Network Architect will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining our organizations network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of networking technologies protocols and security best practices. This role requires strong analytical skills technical proficiency and the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams to ensure optimal network performance reliability and scalability.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Network Design and Planning:

   • Develop network architecture designs and solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.
   • Design network topologies configurations and protocols to support data voice and video traffic.
   • Evaluate and recommend network hardware software and communication technologies to enhance network performance and security.

2. Implementation and Deployment:

   • Configure and deploy network equipment including routers switches firewalls and load balancers.
   • Implement network protocols and services (e.g. TCP/IP DNS DHCP) across LAN WAN and wireless networks.
   • Collaborate with system administrators and engineers to integrate network infrastructure with servers storage and cloud environments.

3. Network Security and Monitoring:

   • Implement security measures to protect network systems from unauthorized access breaches and vulnerabilities.
   • Conduct regular security audits vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
   • Monitor network performance traffic patterns and bandwidth utilization to optimize network resources and detect anomalies.

4. Troubleshooting and Resolution:

   • Troubleshoot network issues and outages identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
   • Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex network problems and incidents.
   • Document network configurations procedures and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

5. Capacity Planning and Scalability:

   • Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future network growth and expansion needs.
   • Implement scalability strategies and upgrade paths to support increasing demands on network resources.
   • Recommend and implement network optimization techniques to improve performance and efficiency..
