Office AssistantRouter
Reports to: Office Manager
The purpose of this position is to ensure efficient transmittal of office supplies equipment and documents maintain mailroom operations and provide facility support.
**Responsibilities:**
Sort and deliver incoming and intercompany mail ensuring timely distribution.
Maintain record of receipt and tracking details as needed.
Check all employee outboxes and route or process as appropriate.
Prepare packages for mail courier or shipping services.
Make deliveries to the Capitol offsite storage or other locations.
Track and replenish mailroom supply inventory.
Operate photocopying and postage machines.
Assist with the setup of events or meetings.
Assist with the organization of storage areas.
Assist with facility operations requests.
Be available to lift heavy items as needed.
Assist with furniture moves and office furniture set up.
Supplemental cleaning and housekeeping.
All other duties as assigned.
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
High school diploma.
Critical thinking skills.
Ability to multitask effectively.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work under limited supervision.
Attention to detail.
Ability to lift 5060 pounds.
Ability to stand/walk continuously.
Positive and friendly attitude.
Ability to manage time and properly prioritize tasks.
Midlevel Microsoft Office experience preferred.
Access to a vehicle for making deliveries.
**Physical Requirements:**
Walking and standing continually throughout the day.
