Manager Custody Trading

My client is a wellestablished bank founded in the early 1970s in the Cayman Islands offering a comprehensive suite of banking services supported by cuttingedge technology for the alternative asset management ecosystem. Their vision is to be at the forefront of the alternative funds industry providing integrated solutions and technologydriven capabilities on a global scale.

After having expanded in the US they are now looking to do the same in Europe where Luxembourg has been recognized as the premier location for the headquarter of the European credit institution. After thorough analysis and discussions they are in the process of regulatory approval for obtaining a credit institution license under the Luxembourg Law of April 1993. The entity is aiming to commence operations in early 2025.

The Luxembourg credit institution will mirror their successful business model of the Cayman bank which will be adapted to meet EU and Luxembourgspecific regulations.

We are seeking a Manager Custody & Trading for the Transaction Services department.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Custody & Trading team is embedded within the Transaction Services department of the Bank. The main tasks and responsibilities of the team include managing and monitoring of the lifecycle of a financial instrument. This includes matching and settlement of securities transactions and managing of corporate action events by submitting market instruction to the custodian and monitor their status. The Manager will directly report to the department Head Transaction Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES TASKS AND PERFORMANCE

• Lead and manage the daytoday operations of the team ensuring efficiency high standard of quality in the deliveries compliance and alignment with strategic objectives
• Establish robust and efficient processes and implement measures to reduce risk and drive cost effectiveness
• Main contact person for the product and close collaboration with other teams to ensure highquality service delivery to our clients
• Support budget planning and ensure timely fee collection

EXPERIENCE SKILLS KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES

• Excellent analytical and decisionmaking skills and structured way of working
• Leadership skills to motivate and empower others
• Client focused in order to resolve issues efficiently
• Effective communication skills
• Advanced MS Office skills knowledge of Temenos would be an advantage
• Deep knowledge of Global Custody account maintenance including detailed knowledge of account structures markets and tax requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in custody environment
• Between 1 and 3 years of experience in managing people (including performance reviews)
• Bachelor or Masters degree in economics business administration finance or similar
• Fluent in English is mandatory and additional languages of French and / or German are an asset
