Job Description
Our lovely busy nursery Murrayfield Day Nursery are seeking an experienced Nursery Deputy Manager to join the team and support the day to day running of the setting this will be a room based/ office based role so you will need to be experienced in a senior role and would be responsible for either our Toddler or Preschool Room.
Hours are 38 per week covering 5 days with generous benefits a 1000 joining bonus and a salary up to 34500 depending on experience.
The Murrayfield Nursery is part of CC Nurseries and is based in Edinburgh at our busy 90 place nursery we offer a homefromhome environment led by our passionate and caring team our nursery is filled with handpicked resources (natural where possible) to encourage selfdirected play and discovery. Outside we have a large secure outdoor space including fire pit fish pond and outdoor classroom as well as a separate area for the youngest children to enjoy fun. CC Nurseries offered enriched working environments and opportunities for further qualifications and career progression.
Requirements
As a Deputy Manager you will:
Support all teams within the Nursery.
Work alongside the manager in the day to day operations of the Nursery.
Ensure that all teams are providing stimulating and purposeful experiences environments and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child staff parent and visitor always
Lead and support your teams together with supporting their training needs to ensure best practice at all times
Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the Curriculum Excellence are followed
Qualified level 3 or above with at least 4 years experience of working in a Nursery and at least 2 years experience of a leadership similar role.

Ideally you will have Have a minimum Level 3 Qualification or Equivalent in Early Years / Childcare Have at least 3 years' previous experience of working in a Day Nursery Have at least 2 years' experience of leading and supporting teams Can inspire, energise and support others Has a genuine passion and excitement to work with children and helping others learn Sound knowledge of the latest Curriculum for Excellence framework and regulations A firm knowledge of Care Inspectorate standards and requirements Currently in a similar role
