Essential Duties:
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:
Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to ensure the efficient operation of equipment machinery and facilities
Develop and implement annual shutdown activities to conduct necessary maintenance and upgrades minimize downtime during shutdown periods through effective planning and execution.
Ensure maintenance activities with production schedules to minimize downtime and disruptions
Prioritize maintenance tasks based on urgency safety and operational requirements
Preventive Maintenance Program:
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program to extend the lifespan of equipment and reduce the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns.
Ensure implementation of routine inspections lubrication calibration and other preventive maintenance tasks as needed.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the maintenance department budget including forecasting expenses monitoring costs and identifying costsaving opportunities.
Control inventory levels of maintenance supplies and spare parts to optimize resource utilization.
Evaluate and recommend investments in new equipment or technologies to improve efficiency and productivity.
Emergency Response and Crisis Management:
Develop and implement emergency response procedures for maintenancerelated incidents such as equipment failures leaks or power outages.
Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders to address emergencies promptly and minimize disruptions to operations.
Participate in crisis management exercises and drills to ensure readiness to handle emergencies effectively.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards related to maintenance activities.
Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards in the workplace
Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols among maintenance staff.
Training and Development
Provide guidance on best practices for maintenance procedures safety protocols and equipment operation.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the maintenance team.
Qualification and Skills:
B Tech/ M Tech Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering.
2025 years of experience in maintenance management with demonstrated leadership experience
Proven track record of successfully managing maintenance operations in a fastpaced environment preferably in Fertilizer Industry.
Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices preventive maintenance techniques and regulatory compliance requirements
Demonstrated problemsolving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
Knowledge of budgeting cost control and financial analysis principles.
Certification in maintenance management (e.g. Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional CMRP) is a plus.
