Job Description

Our client a leading firm specialising in Clinical Negligence are seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join their esteemed Clinical Negligence team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to develop their career within a supportive and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will work on a diverse caseload of clinical negligence claims gaining invaluable experience and contributing to the ongoing success of the firm.

The role:

  • Manage a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims under the supervision of senior solicitors.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into medical malpractice cases including obtaining and reviewing medical records instructing experts and drafting witness statements.
  • Provide clear and compassionate legal advice to clients ensuring they are informed and supported throughout the process.
  • Prepare legal documents including letters of claim pleadings and court bundles.
  • Attend court hearings case management conferences and settlement meetings.
  • Liaise with medical experts barristers and other third parties to progress cases efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records on the firm s case management system.
  • Contribute to the firm s business development activities including writing articles and attending networking events.


  • Requirements

    • Qualified solicitor with a strong academic background (minimum 2:1 degree).
    • Completed a training contract with significant exposure to clinical negligence or personal injury law.
    • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with a compassionate approach to client care.
    • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering highquality work.
    • Proficient in using legal research tools and case management software.

    Desirable Skills:

    • Previous experience in a dedicated clinical negligence department.
