Support Worker at Kalmia Mallow Care Home

We are looking for an experienced compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our team at Kalmia Mallow Care Home. As a Support Worker you will be responsible for providing high quality care and support to our residents. You will work with residents to help them develop their skills maintain their independence and ensure their safety.

The successful candidate must have a genuine interest in working with elderly people as well as excellent communication skills. You must also be able to demonstrate empathy and understanding of the needs of elderly people.

Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care services such as bathing dressing and grooming
• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as meal preparation laundry and shopping
• Monitor the physical condition of the residents home environment by checking temperature levels cleanliness etc.
• Organize recreational activities for the residents in order to promote social interaction

Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in Health Care or related field preferred

• Previous experience working with elderly people is essential
  Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  Ability to remain calm under pressure
  Ability to work independently or part of a team
