Description:

Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our Biologics Engineering R&D team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the strategic objectives of our biologics research and development initiatives. The Business Analyst will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to analyze business processes identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions that drive efficiency and innovation in our R&D operations.

Soft Skills:

1. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build consensus
2. Worked in an IT setting before and can translate between the business and technology with clear and concise requirements
3. Proactive with a bias towards action
4. 70/30 IT BA to Scientific Lab experience

Hard Skills:

1. JIRA or similar task tracking tool
2. Miro or similar diagramming tool such as Visio
3. Signavio or similar business process management software
4. Smartsheet or similar project manage tool such as Microsoft Project
5. Office 365 tools including Teams. Knowledge of pivot tables in Excel would be handy

Nice to Have:

1. Pharmaceutical R&D experience
2. Scientific lab instrument experience (protein engineering DNA sequencing plate readers fow cytometry liquid chromatography etc.)
3. Scientifc data management system experience (AZ uses Zontal other similar software experience)
4. Comfortable working with scientists

Roles and Responsibilities:

Requirements Gathering:

Collaborate with scientists engineers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.

Translate business needs into technical specifications for IT and software development teams.

Ensure alignment between R&D objectives and business strategies.

Stakeholder Communication:

Facilitate effective communication between R&D teams management and external partners.

Prepare and present findings recommendations and project updates to stakeholders.

Foster a collaborative environment to ensure successful project outcomes.

Quality Assurance Testing:

Ensure thorough testing of software tools and processes to identify and resolve any issues before deployment.

Document test results and provide feedback to development teams for continuous improvement.
