About the Role
As a Senior Finance Manager you will be instrumental in planning and controlling our financial and management accounting systems ensuring strict adherence to Group policies and establishing stringent procedures to drive the companys growth. This role involves leading all financial accounting and treasury activities optimizing tax affairs and maintaining robust financial controls. You will also be responsible for developing a highly motivated finance and treasury team critically analyzing financial data and liaising with banks to manage financial facilities effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Policy Adherence & Development:
Ensure strict adherence to Group policies and procedures in financial operations. Formulate and implement new policies to enhance growth and profitability.
2. Financial Planning & Control.
Oversee the financial and management accounting systems.
3. Financial Activities Management.
Lead all financial accounting and treasury activities establishing control procedures to enhance reporting accuracy.
4. Tax Management.
Plan and manage the companys tax affairs efficiently.
5. Team Development.
Develop and maintain a welltrained motivated Finance & Treasury team to meet the companys objectives.
6. Financial Analysis & Reporting.
Analyze financial data cash flow projections budgets and credit controls and report findings to management.
7. Reporting Improvement.
Prepare and present timely financial and management reports continuously improving reporting formats.
8. Operational Decision Analysis.
Analyze the financial implications of various operational decisions new businesses and acquisitions.
9. Compliance & Ethical Standards.
Ensure compliance with relevant acts legal requirements and ethical standards and liaise with external auditors.
10. Bank Liaison & Facility Management.
Negotiate and arrange financial facilities maintaining strong relationships with banks.
11. Additional Duties.
Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors.
Requirements
1. Qualifications.
Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA CIMA CPA MICPA etc.) and certified MIA member.
2. Experience.
Minimum of 2 years in an audit tax or accounting firm and at least 3 years of recent accounting experience in manufacturing or cement industries. Overall at least 10 years of accounting experience.
3. Age.
Below 50 years old.
