Job Description

Our client an innovative iGaming company established in 2021 by internet marketers is seeking a skilled Reconciliation Officer to join their payments department. This is a unique opportunity to work with a dynamic team dedicated to providing online businesses with complete marketing management solutions.

What Youll Do:

As a Reconciliation Officer you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions processed by the payment service provider.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily weekly and monthly reconciliations of financial transactions processed by the payment service provider.
  • Compare transaction data between internal systems and external sources such as banks and payment gateways to identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in transaction records promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with relevant teams (e.g. finance customer support) to gather information and documentation necessary for reconciliation.
  • Generate and maintain accurate reconciliation reports for management and regulatory purposes.
  • Provide insights and analysis on reconciliation results highlighting any trends or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards related to payment processing and reconciliation.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and adjust reconciliation processes accordingly.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of reconciliation procedures findings and resolutions.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reconciliation processes.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implement best practices and automation solutions to enhance accuracy and reduce manual effort.

Requirements:

To excel in this role were seeking candidates with:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Mathematics Statistics or another relevant field.
  • Proven experience of approximately 2 years in a similar role within a PSP or Financial Institution.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and reconciliation tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective problemsolving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • English proficiency.
  • Driving licence holder.
  • Must be based in Cyprus.
