What Youll Do:
As a Reconciliation Officer you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions processed by the payment service provider.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform daily weekly and monthly reconciliations of financial transactions processed by the payment service provider.
- Compare transaction data between internal systems and external sources such as banks and payment gateways to identify discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in transaction records promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with relevant teams (e.g. finance customer support) to gather information and documentation necessary for reconciliation.
- Generate and maintain accurate reconciliation reports for management and regulatory purposes.
- Provide insights and analysis on reconciliation results highlighting any trends or issues.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards related to payment processing and reconciliation.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and adjust reconciliation processes accordingly.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of reconciliation procedures findings and resolutions.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for reconciliation processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline reconciliation processes and improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices and automation solutions to enhance accuracy and reduce manual effort.
Requirements:
To excel in this role were seeking candidates with:
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Economics Mathematics Statistics or another relevant field.
- Proven experience of approximately 2 years in a similar role within a PSP or Financial Institution.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using financial software and reconciliation tools.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective problemsolving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- English proficiency.
- Driving licence holder.
- Must be based in Cyprus.
