Job Description

Description:

Marine Electricians at Team Electric are responsible for the installation testing and repair of marine cables and equipment as well as the installation and connection of lighting electrical power troubleshooting and repair of shipboard and facilities electrical systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

  • Ensure the safety of all assigned equipment.
  • Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Meet productivity goals and quality standards as set by management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring equipment or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers transformers or other components.
  • Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits using testing devices.
  • Inspect electrical systems equipment or components to identify hazards defects or the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems and correct problems using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Repair or replace wiring equipment or fixtures using hand or power tools.
  • Install ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.

Skills/Technical Knowledge:

  • Time management skills.
  • Clear and thorough communication abilities.
  • Problemsolving and analysis skills.
  • Positive attitude; must be a team player.

Education Training & Experience:

  • Shipyard/Industrial Experience preferred.
  • Flexibility in work schedule including availability for overtime weekends and varying shifts.

Qualification/Requirements:

  • Must be eligble for work in EU.
