Job Description

Your purpose

The Membrane Specialist is part of a team for pilot studies of the CeraMac microfiltration system of PWNT. The Membrane Specialist makes a pilot testing plan for study based on raw water properties and project requirements examines and interprets the data from trials under varying test conditions and makes recommendations to the pilot team for next steps within the study. The Membrane Specialist also prepares progress and final reports. The focus is on the performance of the ceramic membrane system with the aim to develop a tailored technical solution for each water including the pretreatment technique (e.g. inline coagulation biofiltration clarifiers oxidation) the membrane cleaning method and the link to a fullscale design project

As part of our dynamic and growing team the Membrane Specialist is a leader in the science decisions about operation of the pilot.

In some instances the Membrane Specialist will also be able to assist with fullscale plant performance evaluations and troubleshooting.

What willyou be doing We have listed it for you:

  • Guiding a pilot study to a successful conclusion by delivering technical expertise on ceramic membranes for water treatment.
  • Analysis and review membrane operation data identifying piloting trends and when necessary remedies.
  • Evaluating water quality of the filtrate per regulatory requirements for the customer.
  • Educating customers and staff about membrane principles and best practices.
  • Reporting and presenting pilot testing results internally as well as externally to the customer and presentation of results at international workshops and conferences.

What were looking for

  • You hold a MSc or a PhD degree in chemistry material engineering chemical or process technology.
  • Good knowledge with Excel for managing large data sets.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Business driven mindset ability to interact both with commercial and technical disciplines.
  • Ability to manage technical aspects of projects and guide team members and customers through a project.
  • To be able to successfully fulfill this position you must also have the following competencies: curious proactive creative analytical and communicative.
