Finance Officer

Juicyway was started by Ife and Justin. We processed our first (nine dollar) transaction in November 2021. A ton of Transactions after and we have come to terms with our true role in enabling the African business to make compliant global payments cheap and fast.

As we come out of stealth we are convinced that we are the vanguard of a new payments paradigm designed for Africans but global in its reach. Africa currently produces less than 80% of what it consumes. Foreign currency for imports is therefore in high demand by African merchants but the banks and the correspondent banking system were not designed to serve them in the internet era where trade is no longer limited to commodities ( or primarily dominated by governments and multinationals). Despite a proliferation of payment solutions in recent years a combination of fragmentation in the system and FX liquidity constraints remain prohibitive and effectivelyand unnecessarilycut off disenfranchised businesses and individuals from global trade completely. Until now.

We believe that enabling frictionless global payments will make the life of the average business owner on the continent better. And our customers agree. Juicyway has tapped into something real. Now we want to share our platform with more Africans who can benefit from it and must assemble the right team for scale.

Tasks

As the Finance Officer you will have a crucial role in maintaining the financial stability and integrity of Juice Global Inc. Your responsibilities will include daily bank and inventory reconciliation active participation in budgeting meticulous filing and accurate financial reporting. You will be responsible for journal entries balance sheet reconciliations and processing nontrade expenses. Additionally you will oversee cash advances and petty cash transactions ensuring compliance with tax and statutory filings and contributing to Juices financial health and regulatory adherence.

• Daily bank (NGN) reconciliation analyses (journals) and posting into the accounting software in use
• Daily inventory (FX) reconciliation analyses (journals) and posting into the accounting software in use
• Actively participate in budget formulation and implementation process
  Documentation and maintenance of cloud and physical (where necessary) files for source documents for all financial transactions.
• Account for every balance in all the bank accounts whether active or inactive
  Actively involved in detailed data aggregation financial operations and financial reporting
• Handson preparation of journal entries balance sheet reconciliations and other related duties to meet monthend and yearend obligations.
• Processing and following on execution and documentation of nontrade or administrative expenses especially the recurrent ones
• Review and documentation of cash advance and petty cash retirements and reimbursement
• Processing registration and remittance to statutory bodies such pension payroll tax(paye) tax identification number (TIN) etc

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (e.g. ACCA CPA) is a plus.
• Proven experience (3 years) in a finance or accounting role.
• Experience in bank and inventory reconciliation financial reporting and budget management.
• Familiarity with accounting software and cloudbased documentation systems.
