Experienced Data Engineer GCP

Dark Light is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team for a project with one of our prestigious clients. The selected candidate will be integral to the clients Data Platforms team working in a dynamic environment in Belgium.

Tasks

• Design develop and maintain robust scalable data pipelines for ingesting and processing data from various sources into a cloud environment.
• Implement best practices in data management and ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes.
• Set up continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) systems and automate datarelated workflows.
• Ensure the high performance and availability of data services through performance tuning and monitoring.
• Evaluate and implement new data technologies and tools to enhance the existing infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Information Technology Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Practical experience as a Data Engineer or DevOps Engineer in a cloud environment preferably with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and expertise in data extraction and manipulation.
• Proficiency in Python programming including modularization and testing.
• Experience with deployment and orchestration technologies such as Docker Kubernetes Terraform and Airflow.
• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts.
• Fluency in English and either Dutch or French.
• Selfdriven autonomous fast learner and creative thinker.
