Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with Cloud experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation configuration maintenance and performance of critical Oracle Database systems ensuring high availability and consistent performance. This role will involve working closely with our development and operations teams to design and implement database solutions in cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install configure and maintain Oracle database servers in cloud environments.
• Ensure the availability and performance of Oracle databases that support our systems.
• Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
• Plan and implement backup and recovery strategies for the database.
• Manage and support database replication and high availability features.
• Conduct database security management and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve databaserelated issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and optimize database schemas.
• Implement and maintain database patches and upgrades.
• Monitor database systems and proactively address potential issues.
• Provide oncall support as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
• 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
• Extensive experience with Oracle database administration in cloud environments such as AWS Azure or Oracle Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of Oracle 11g 12c and 19c.
• Proficient in database performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience with backup recovery and disaster recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard.
• Handson experience with PL/SQL and SQL scripting.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with cloud database services and tools.
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Oracle DBA certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of other database technologies (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL) is a plus.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
