Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Thorough knowledge of relational databases and hierarchical databases
- Ability to read and understand complicated technical documentation and perform logic analysis
- Ability to decode design and code complex mainframe programs
- Ability to write test cases and scenarios based on the specifications
- Analyzing and documenting the current application and database housekeeping activities
Requirements
- Bachelors / Master s degree in engineering information technology or relevant experience
- Mainframe entities COBOL. Assembler JCL CICS migration from mainframe to Open frame technologies
- Japanese Level 3/2 certified. English Listen Read Write and Speak
- Data migration (DB2 IMS DB VSAM AIM NDB to relational DB TIBERO)
- Data conversion from mainframe to Unix/ Linux systems
- Investigation/analysis for online and batch program testing
- Experience in PC COBOL development
- Hands on experience UNIX and LINUX commands
- Good understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies
- Prior experience with mainframe modernization / transformation projects is preferred
- Logical thinking and problemsolving skills along with an ability to collaborate
Preferred:
- Experience in delivering successful mainframe modernization rehosting projects
- Should have experience working with multiple stake holders at customer site offshore teams
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
