Job Description

Job Title : Quality Manager
Location : Redmond WA
Type : Full Time Directhire

We are looking for someone with relevant QC experience in aerospace and worked in FAA and repair stations.

We are looking for a Quality Manager to work out of the Redmond WA office.
Responsibilities include:
1. Final Inspection of any production units
2. Internal audits manage internal audits (performed on a monthly basis) against AS9100 requirements
3. FAA regulation audits of Repair station
4. EASA regulation audits of Repair station
5. Customer Support
a. Customer satisfaction / feedback
b. Support any customer onsite surveys
c. Support any FAA onsite surveys
d. Support customer onsite visits
e. Update customer supplier portals (Collins) for SCAR updates
6. Respond to customer quality / reliability concerns and start engineering investigations as needed.
7. Documentation
a. Revise QCM as needed due to management or organization changes
i. Route to the FAA for approval
b. Revise PRMs as needed due to management or organization / personnel changes
c. Manage Q document files for placing revisions of documents managing archiving etc.
8. Corrective Actions
a. Product failures that require investigation and corrective action need to be tracked to resolution
b. Most of these are thru the onsite repair station however some off site review customer support has been required in the recent past.
c. Track open Mantis Hub issues that are to resolve customer complaints or issues (Collins 27 4K Retract)
9. Liaise with French engineering on customer issue resolutions
10. Liaise local management on allowable certifications requested by customers (dualrelease requests vs approved PMA etc.)
11. Manage FAA Drug and Alcohol program for repair station
a. Any personnel changes need to be processed thru Drug Free Business and FAA notification if impacting Return to Service Roster
12. Risks / Opportunities
a. Safety
i. External keeping track of Redmond WA road conditions City of Redmond notifications gunfire incidents political demonstrations
ii. Internal Safety committee records ensuring monthly audits are performed
iii. Take actions to correct any safety walk issues
iv. Track safety issues if requiring corrective actions
b. Adequacy of Resources
i. Personnel
ii. Facility
iii. Human resources
iv. Tools and Equipment
v. Training
13. External / Internal parties and their influence on our operation and quality system.
a. Track updates from City of Redmond on demonstrations power outages road closures etc
14. ESD bench check for production and repair performed quarterly
15. Monitoring and Measurement results.
a. Establish KPIs for functions still in operation in Redmond
i. Repair station
ii. RMA returns
iii. Supplier performance quarterly reports
iv. Supplier nonconformance

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not supervise any positions.

Qualifications:
  • To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
  • Familiarity and comprehension of basic specifications and industry standards including but not limited to AS9100 AS9102 CFR Part 21 CFR Part 145; ability to analyze and develop quality methods
  • General understanding of GD&T (General Dimension and Tolerance)
  • Strong understanding of Quality tools such as 5 Whys 8D 5S etc.
  • Technical writing skills that include quality procedures and test plans
  • Ability to use all standard inspections tools and equipment including calipers micrometers drop indicators CMM and optical systems
Job Description:
  • Have an understanding and appreciation for precision with product quality condition or being exact and accurate
  • Must be extremely detailoriented and highly organized
  • Excellent communication skills to work with Receiving Shipping Inventory Testing Repairs and Production teams
  • 35 40 wpm good working knowledge of MS Office Suite basic computer skills (cutting/pasting editing documents locating files using hyperlinks etc.)
  • Strong sense of responsibility and urgency to meet deadlines/timelines
Education/Experience:
Typical background is Bachelors Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or Quality Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 3 5 years of experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified in aerospace or in a regulated manufacturing environment
ASQ and AS9100D certification a plus
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Day shift
