German Language Expert

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate written documents from German to English and vice versa
• Interpret spoken language in meetings conference calls and other interactions
• Proofread and edit German language materials for accuracy and clarity
• Provide linguistic and cultural expertise to support various projects and initiatives
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective communication in German
• Conduct linguistic and cultural research as needed
• Participate in language training and development programs
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in language services
• Assist in localization efforts for products and content
• Contribute to the development of language resources and tools
• Provide language support for customer service and communication
• Use translation software and tools effectively
• Stay updated on language industry trends and best practices
• Assist in languagerelated quality assurance processes

Required Qualifications:

• Native or nearnative fluency in German
• Bachelors degree in German Linguistics Translation or related field
• Proven experience in translation and interpretation
• Excellent command of English language
• Strong cultural understanding of Germanspeaking regions
• Ability to work with various translation and language software
• Certification in language proficiency or translation (preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and accuracy in language services
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
• Cultural sensitivity and awareness
• Knowledge of industryspecific terminology (e.g. legal medical technical)
• Flexibility to adapt to evolving language needs
