MERN Stack Developer Intern

Overview

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of scalable and secure web applications using the MERN stack
• Collaborate with the development team to analyze design and implement new features
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of coding standards and best practices
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to implement userfriendly interfaces
• Conduct testing and debugging to ensure application functionality and optimization
• Assist in the deployment and maintenance of web applications on cloud platforms
• Contribute to the documentation of technical specifications and project progress
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in web development
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternative technologies and presenting these for architectural review
• Participate in team meetings brainstorming sessions and knowledge sharing activities

Required qualifications

• Enrollment in a Computer Science Software Engineering or related degree program
• Strong knowledge of the MERN (MongoDB Express React Node.js) stack
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML CSS and JavaScript
• Familiarity with version control using Git and GitHub
• Understanding of RESTful web services and API development
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proactive mindset with a passion for learning and selfimprovement
• Prior experience with web development projects or internships is a plus
• Basic knowledge of database management and design principles
• Understanding of Agile methodologies in software development
• Capability to adapt to changing priorities and manage time efficiently
• Knowledge of responsive and mobilefirst design principles
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform
