Job Description

Overview

As an Associate Dean Academics you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the academic operations and initiatives within the institution. Your leadership and strategic input will be instrumental in shaping the academic direction and ensuring quality standards across programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership to academic departments and faculty.
  • Develop and implement academic policies and procedures.
  • Oversee curriculum development and review processes.
  • Coordinate with faculty to ensure effective delivery of academic programs.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance the academic quality and reputation of the institution.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative teams to support student success.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for academic growth and development.
  • Manage academic resources and budget planning.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.
  • Resolve academic issues and conflicts.
  • Supervise academic support services and student advising.
  • Participate in recruitment and retention efforts for faculty and students.
  • Represent the institution at academic conferences and events.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive academic culture and environment.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctorate or terminal degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education leadership.
  • Demonstrated track record of academic program development and evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strategic planning and organizational development expertise.
  • Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
  • Ability to foster a diverse and inclusive academic community.
  • Commitment to fostering student success and academic excellence.
  • Knowledge of academic technology and innovative learning practices.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Adaptability and ability to work in a fastpaced academic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving capabilities.
  • Publication and research experience is preferred.
