Automation and Service Engineer mfd

Under the supervision of the head of NDT systems and integrations sales the incumbent in collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders participates in the installation and maintenance activities of large NDT solutions at customer sites partnering with colleagues dispatched by the factory. In addition he is involved in implementation of feasibility studies for new applications). It establishes and implements the corrective measures necessary to achieve its set objectives. He is also called upon to go on site to other countries to participate in the installation of systems.

Tasks

• Finetune and optimise PLCs Programs and HMIs (Siemens and Allen Bradley and/or others)
• Actively participate at the installation of new systems together with the project team provide support in adjustment and testing of automation software and related hardware
• Supervise and implement automation projects
• Propose and integrate developments and innovations in system automation
• Supervise from the point of view of the technological direction the developments on the automation platforms
• Understand the application requirements of various technologies
• Provide maintenance training to customers
• Participate in the design of electrical plans for the automation part
• Support the aftersales service activities
• Be present on site during the installations
• Perform feasibility studies supported by NDT specialists
• Represent a PoC for customers for maintenance activities and problem resolution
• Perform any other related task requested by his immediate superior

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering combined with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in programming industrial and automation equipment or systems installation
• Basic knowledge of robotic programming and c/c# (.Net)
• Knowledge of NDT ultrasound or eddy current would be an asset
• Level of English: Advanced
• French knowledge is an asset
• Ability to manage a customersupplier situations
• Advanced problem solving
• Capability to work independently without continuous supervision of the manager.
• Basic knowledge of how to perform maintenance on electromechanical systems
• Capacity of training personnel on maintenance activities be focused on achieving objectives and goals
• You are able to work in a team
• You bring a customer focused mindset and have a strong sense of analysis attention to detail are an organized methodical and resourceful person
• You are an autonomous creative and initiative person
• You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Travelling of up to 50 % globally for up to 3 weeks in a row in case can be expected
