Finance Associate

Position Overview:

As a Finance Associate you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance department in various financial activities specific to the hotel industry. You will work closely with the finance manager and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting compliance with regulatory requirements and effective financial management practices.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements for individual hotel properties as well as consolidated financial reports for the hotel chain.
  

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes for hotel operations including revenue projections expense analysis and capital expenditure planning.
  

• Conduct regular financial analysis to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) identify trends and provide insights to improve financial performance.
  

• Collaborate with hotel managers and department heads to review financial results discuss variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
  

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  

• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings providing necessary documentation and support.
  

• Participate in special projects and initiatives to optimize financial processes enhance reporting capabilities and support strategic decisionmaking.
  

• Stay updated on industry trends market dynamics and regulatory changes affecting the hotel industry providing recommendations for adaptation as necessary.
  

Qualifications:

• CMA/ Semi Qualified CA Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field
  

• Years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
  

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices including financial reporting budgeting and internal controls.
  

• Proficiency in financial analysis with the ability to interpret financial data identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  

• Skill in Business Process Management MIS Financial Reporting and Annual Planning.
  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and communicate financial concepts to nonfinancial stakeholders.
  

• Detailoriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; knowledge of hotel management systems is a plus.
