Job Description

A multidiscipline engineering firm with over 70 years in business is looking for a Water Resources Engineer Group Leader for their Fort Lauderdale area office!



Responsibilities:

  • Develop/implement strategy to develop Water Department
  • Build/maintain client relationships through marketing in new/existing service areas
  • Use financial proficiency to establish project related fees and aggressive revenue projections/profit margins
  • Manage professional team
  • Implement/manage water projects (staffing needs project schedules meet deadlines quality work product)
  • Assist with preparation of discipline plan
  • Work closely with marketing team to ensure marketing materials are pertinent to the market
  • Ensure company procedures/processes are used/maintained
  • Promote company presence in market/region (attend trade shows and client presentations/meetings utilize social media and press releases)
  • Prepare presentations and assist with RFP s
  • Ensure project deadlines and client requirements are met
  • Provide technical leadership/oversight to team
  • Assist with developing scope of work budgets and plans for water related projects
  • Mentor/train junior staff in their professional development and team building skills
  • Provide excellent customer service by adhering to highest level of customer expectations



Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in engineering
  • 12 years of consulting wastewater engineering experience (municipal private and public agency clients)
  • PE License with ability to gain reciprocity
  • Experience building/maintaining client relations
  • Experience serving a large group of internal/external clients and leading group of technical staff
  • Experience with project management design construction operations and administration of water infrastructure
  • Experience forecasting trends and tracking emerging technologies in solid waste management/municipal infrastructure preferred
  • Strong technical background
  • Maintain industry technical knowledge in a changing market through attendance at trade shows and other outside client events
  • Remain current on computer software (MS Office Suite CRM and other technical software) as needed
  • MS Outlook experience
  • Proficient in public speaking preferred
  • Proficient in grant writing preferred
  • Travel required



Salary is commensurate with experience.
