Role Overview:

The Senior Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing and developing Wend Clients strategic data ingestion platform. This individual will be responsible for architecting scalable solutions for transforming raw healthcare data including medical claims and/or pharmacy claims into an enterprisestandard format. Key responsibilities include gathering requirements from technology leadership designing data pipelines and implementing solutions that meet the needs of End Clients healthcare data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement functionality for End Clients SilkRoad data ingestion platform.
• Architect scalable solutions for transforming healthcare data including medical claims pharmacy claims and enrollment data.
• Implement eventdriven architecture and utilize Python expertise to build robust data pipelines and workflows.
• Develop Google Cloud Functions to support data processing and integration activiites.
• Drive DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and Terraform.
• Utilize Docker for containerization of data processing components (nicetohave).

Required Experience:

• Expert level proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with eventdriven architecture and building Flask applications.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and handson experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions and Terraform.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services particularly Google Cloud Functions and Google Cloud Pub/Sub.
• Understanding of of both relational and nonrelational DBMSs and the distinctive characteristics of each.
• Experience working with healthcare data specifically medical claims and/or pharmacy claims.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.

NicetoHave Experience:

• Experience with HL7 specific data formats such as EDI files or FHIR files.
• Experience with Docker for containerization.
• Familiarity with Pydantic for data validation.
• Direct experience with Google Big Query and MongoDB
• Experience with EMPI systems.

• Proven track record of delivering highquality solutions in a fastpaced environment.
• Ability to gather requirements and guidance from technology leadership and implement accordingly.
