Product Owner
Caterpillars Autonomy and Automation Division is seeking a Technical Product Manager to develop Productivity & Autonomy Site Solutions for Construction & Mining industries. The site solutions involve hardware and software applications utilizing cloud technologies overlaid on a wide variety of machine operational and contextual data. Solution provides customers ability to improve productivity of connected machines either through insights to take actions and / or operate autonomously.
Experience
- 56 years of jobrelated experience in Construction/Mining technology or in relevant software development projects within other industries.
- 4 years of experience in product development processes and product lifecycle management.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and manage the product roadmap.
- Understand business requirements and articulate them as prioritized requirements for delivery.
- Work with stakeholders (business teams customers dealers architects etc.) to identify market trends in product domain/technology and convert them to backlog items.
- Communicate product vision strategy and deliverables to all stakeholders and delivery teams.
- Work with delivery teams to breakdown prioritized backlog as release wise deliverables and be accountable to sign off the delivered product as meeting the business needs (including validation strategy).
- Work with crossfunctional delivery teams for dependency management and risk mitigation for all deliverables.
- Coordinate creation of product development artifacts including functional (Requirements E2E Validation) and nonfunctional activities (Product Regulations and Compliance Documentation Product Support)
- Create a postproduction support strategy for product and mentor support teams in effective resolution of consumer reported issues.
- Work with leaders to create forecasts and reports on budgets and utilization.
Qualifications
Bachelors/Masters degree in CS IT or related experience
- Experience with translating business needs into functional and system requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize requirements based on business needs.
- Experience in requirements management for backend services and relational database systems.
- Knowledge of IT or IoT technology.
- Knowledge of AWS Azure IoT messaging technology and database technology
- Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate product capability and application knowledge.
- Ability to initiate and take independent action.
- Proven team leadership skills with direct and indirect resources.
- Good human relations and communication skills to develop a collaborative work relationship with customers dealers internal development partners as well as field business development organizations.
- Demonstrated performance to very high work standards.
- Flexible schedule to attend and drive meetings with global development and business partners.
