Job Title: Data Modeler

Location: Albany NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Develop conceptual logical and physical data models for relational and nonrelational databases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient data models.
• Design data structures that optimize data retrieval storage and integration.
• Ensure data models are scalable flexible and aligned with organizational standards and industry best practices.
• Perform data analysis to validate and verify data models against business requirements.
• Document data architecture data flows and data definitions.
• Provide guidance and support to development teams on data modeling best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Data Modeler or Database Designer.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (ER modeling dimensional modeling etc.).
• Proficiency in data modeling tools (e.g. ER/Studio ERwin PowerDesigner).
• Experience with both relational databases (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL SQL Server) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB Cassandra).
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
