- As an Associate Production II you will be part of a hardworking team of technicians engineers program managers and specialists supporting the system prototyping & rapid development of different programs within our Advance Manufacturing Division.
- This is a handson position that requires strong communication organization attention to detail and most importantly the drive to solve daily operational challenges.
- Requisitioning receiving storing and issuing inventory tooling consumables and other assets to technicians and operators.
- Continuously monitor and respond to technician parts needs including replacements for nonconforming parts delivery of fasteners and shop stock moving assemblies to inventory or the next work center and other similar duties as requested.
- Work crossfunctionally to expedite any material shortages.
- Enter material transactions in the ERP system.
- Process Scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as required.
- Prepare for conduct and assist in the reconciliation of cycle counts.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas following company policies and industry best practices (5S).
- Must be able to work well with others take direction and execute swiftly be mindful of process improvement opportunities and be able to problem solve.
- Identify catalog and report manufacturing delays sources and resolutions needed to Operations Supervisors and Managers
- Based upon job duties may need to work in various areas that may cause exposure to fumes dust toxic or caustic chemicals (well below OSHA and ACGIH exposure guidelines) outdoor weather moving mechanical parts and/or be part of a hearing conservation program due to noise levels around certain equipment.
- Operate various equipment in support of daily operations. This includes but not limited to forklifts pallet jacks hoists lift tables etc. to ensure safe hardware handling operations.
- Assist in the implementation of a robust materials management process that reflects best practices to include material purchasing handling storage control and distribution of MRO inventory.
- Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Production Control to ensure work completes on time to schedule.
- Aggressively enforce safe material handling practices
- High School Diploma Accredited GED or equivalent vocational certifications or training
- 2 year of Inventory Control Tool Crib Material Handling and/or in Expediting Experience.
- Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and/or inventory control applications.
- Experience working with a crossfunctional team.
- Demonstrated understanding and can apply continuous improvement concepts.
- Ability to safely drive a forklift and perform acute work.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted.
- Ability to earn trust maintain positive and professional relationships and strengthen our culture of inclusion.
- Strong computer skills familiar with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint etc.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
- Flexible to work varied shifts overtime weekends and travel on occasion.
- Must be able to pass DBIDS background check. Role will be on a military installation.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Excellent interpersonal and Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of cleanliness reviews.
- Ability to handle multiple duties concurrently based on workload dispersion program priorities and management and customer decisions.
- Knowledge of backflush and Kanban process.
- Experience with activities related to planning and/or scheduling.
- Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and/or inventory control applications.
