Technical Manager

CK Group are recruiting for a Technical Manager to join a global FMCG business at their research and development site based in Reading, on an initial 12 month contract.


The Company:
Our client is a global business who develop and manufacture fast moving consumer goods for domestic and commercial uses.


Location:
This role is will be located at the company's new R&D facility located in Reading.


The Role:
Primary responsibility will be to initiate and lead technical projects for Europe Over the Counter and Food Supplement brands that are being developed at external manufacturers.


Key Responsibilities:

• As the key technical contact between the project team and the internal or external manufacturer you will be expected to ensure all supply, quality and regulatory aspects are managed enabling projects to be planned and executed with excellence.
• Enable strong collaboration across functions within the business and more broadly with external partners will be essential to succeed.

To be considered for this Technical Manager job opportunity, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• Strong technical skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes and/or packaging processes.
• Advanced skills in critical appraisal of data.
• Scientific background such as Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials, Life Sciences etc.
• Experience of qualifying raw and pack material / consumer goods products.
• Experience of working in a highly regulated environment.
