Job Description

NEXGEN Asset Management is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) and/or EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) implementation experience. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the delivery and implementation of NEXGENs Asset Management (AM) software and related products across various industries with a primary focus in Municipalities Utilities and Facilities.

We are looking for motivated enthusiastic and highly organized individuals with a strong technical aptitude and CMMS/EAM implementation experience. The Technical Project Manager will be part of the Project Delivery team at NEXGEN and will report directly to the President. The ideal Technical Project Manager at NEXGEN combines project management principles to ensure timely delivery consults with the client to promote EAM best practices and manages the internal project team to deliver stakeholder needs.

This position is fulltime and inperson in our Sacramento CA office and will require traveling to client sites.

Job Duties

  • Manage the implementation of the Scope of Work on behalf of the client using established processes experience and expertise in Municipalities Utilities and Facilities spheres to stay within defined scope schedule and budget.
  • Support clients by managing the project schedule tracking issues monitoring risks and providing status reports throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain project plans progress reports invoices and consistent communication with clients to ensure project status is transparent and project deadlines are met.
  • Identify and develop Change Requests outlining scope of work and budget requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with internal and client project team members.
  • Analyze clients current data and processes to recommend legacy data to migrate as well as improvements for architecting new processes and system configurations which will address identified gaps and increase process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure NEXGEN AM is configured to meet client workflow requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations changes and processes for reference and training.
  • Partner with stakeholders and delivery partners to track investigate and resolve systemrelated issues.
  • Collaborate with NEXGENs Data Migration Integration and Client Education teams to ensure client requirements and expectations are met.
  • Create test plans cases and scripts to validate user stories and tobedelivered system functionalities workflows and data.
  • Provide enduser training and support in collaboration with the Client Education team during implementation and GoLive and perform proper project handoff to NEXGENs Client Success team.
  • Conduct retrospectives for accountability transparency and continuous project improvement.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in computer science data science software engineering management Information systems or other related discipline
  • 35 years of experience in Project Management Technology Consulting Facility Management or Maintenance Management in CMMS or Enterprise Asset Management System
  • Fluent in the software development lifecycle
  • Strong technical background required to manage technical projects and handle competing interests
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to effectively engage with internal teams and clients
  • Able to clearly explain complex technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences to build consensus among stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to interface with internal and external project teams
  • Proven ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across a variety of business units
  • Ability to understand and translate complex business needs into a comprehensive set of user requirements and business processes and recommend system configurations accordingly
  • Ability to identify escalate and/or provide workarounds to issues that may impact client project success
  • Ability to manage unexpected challenges that arise with critical and creative thinking to find solutions to problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage rapid coordinated response efforts
  • Great attention to detail

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of relational databases with the ability to understand tables SQL queries views and stored procedures
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Word Excel and Visio


Salary range of $80000 $90000 per year based on experience.
