Job Summary: The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for the seamless transition of data from our current MarkLogicbased system to DynamoDB. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of MarkLogics data storage mechanisms and will be adept at utilizing JavaScript and Node.js to develop AWS Lambdas for this purpose. Additionally the ability to adapt and potentially switch to using Python for Lambdas in the future is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Migrate data from MarkLogic to DynamoDB.
• Develop and maintain AWS Lambda functions using JavaScript and Node.js.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure data integrity and seamless integration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any challenges related to data migration and integration.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and propose improvements to existing processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience with MarkLogic and understanding of its data storage architecture.
• Handson experience in migrating data from MarkLogic to other database systems preferably DynamoDB.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js for developing AWS Lambda functions.
• Familiarity with AWS services particularly AWS Lambda and DynamoDB.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize data migration processes.
• Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Pega systems.
• Knowledge of Python and the ability to write AWS Lambda functions using Python.
• Familiarity with additional AWS services and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
