This is a parttime remote position

The Personalized Education Coach (PEC) is an integral part of a FullTime Flex students academic team. The PEC supports students on their asynchronous journey through their high school education. Responsibilities include overseeing students educational programs in grades 912 in core subjects and electives social behavioral and other educational skill areas.

What are the main responsibilities for this role

• Weekly student meetings to discuss:

  • Course Progress

  • Student overall needs

  • Aid in planning and organizing weekly tasks

• Weekly review of student attendance

• Being a bridge between students teachers and parents as needed

• Mentoring the student on how to best succeed in this online environment

• Raising academic and other concerns with the appropriate team members as needed

• Evaluating the students overall progress

What skills and experience are required

• Bachelors degree
• Prior teaching experience or experience teaching in a virtual academy.
• Must possess excellent oral written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate with students parents faculty and administrative staff.
• Ability to demonstrate problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities to facilitate and perform the abovementioned functions.
• Must possess the ability to convey a professional image as well as effectively represent the organization as appropriate in its relationship with the communit.
