We are building the fastest and most reliable network that is required for its unique needs and supporting all of its products and services. Our client is looking for a Software engineer with a balance of experience and curiosity about software development to join our Global Network Services (GNS) team supporting our infrastructure around the globe.

Description

You will work closely with global team members to develop tools/solutions for our Engineering and Operations teams for continual improvement toward our key operational metrics of reliability/visibility and efficiency of the backbone network. This individual will need to excel in a fastpaced dynamic work environment collaborating closely with our network teams as well as crossfunctionally with external groups to deliver turnkey solutions in order to reach this goal. Due to the nature of our customer foundational network technology knowledge will be a key skill for the ideal candidate to possess.

Key Qualifications

Proficient with various programming languages such as Clojure/Go/Java/Python

Sophisticated proficiency in at least one language

Strong software engineering background with experience in building/maintaining RESTful APIs

Strong experience with Linux system administration

Deep experience with application containerization technologies (Docker Kube)

Solid understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP TLS HTTP UDPDNS)

Working knowledge of Network operating systems (i.e. Junos IOS EOS) a plus

Education & Experience

BS or MS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience is preferred
