Job Title: COBOL Developer (Government Experience)

Location: Remote

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Develop maintain and enhance COBOLbased applications and systems to support government operations and initiatives.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders business analysts and other members of the development team to gather requirements design solutions and deliver highquality software products.
• Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues identify root causes and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations security standards and best practices in software development and maintenance.
• Participate in code reviews testing and documentation activities to ensure the reliability scalability and maintainability of software applications.
• Stay current with emerging technologies trends and best practices in COBOL development and government IT and share knowledge and insights with the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a COBOL developer with a minimum of years of experience working on government projects.
• Strong expertise in COBOL programming language JCL and mainframe technologies with experience in DB2 or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with government regulations policies and procedures related to software development security and compliance.
• Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and stakeholders at all levels of government.
