Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Level 5 Senior Systems Administrator you will perform orchestration sustainment and evolution of a portfolio of missioncritical applications and services supporting a major Directorate within the U.S. Intelligence Community. Responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of multiuser computer systems including coordination with network engineers. Monitor and manage system resources including CPU usage disk usage and response times to maintain operating efficiency.
- Setting up administrator accounts maintaining system documentation tuning system performance installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.
- Interacting with users and evaluates vendor products.
- Purchase recommendations for hardware and software coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
- Developing and monitoring policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelors Degree
- Certification(s): Security OR other active IAT II/III
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience.
- Linux (CentOS RHEL and/or Oracle). This position requires strong Linux skills with current/very recent experience. to include experience with Linux OS upgrades in a cloud environment.
- Experience working in an AWS environment and familiarity with console accesses to provision maintain and monitor servers.
- Performing snapshots disaster recovery performance tuning
- Installation STIG hardening patching.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and Tier 1 communication skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining critical documentation (SIPs SAGs SOPs Getting started guides).
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience working with Agile scrum teams.
- Experience with ElasticSearch.
- Cloud (EC2s S3 Elasticache) Kafka Openshift Docker Keycloak Wildfly.
- PKI certificates SSL service accounts.
- Maintaining multiple environment types (physical virtual cloud).
- Experience supporting security audits and testing events.
