Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab Nursing

Position: Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab (Nursing)
Pay Rate: $90/hr
Location: Rochester NY
Shift: 10hr Day

Description / Comment :

• MondayFriday four 10 hour shifts 7am5:30pm
• Call requirements 810 shifts/month
• MUST COME WITH CATH LAB EXPEREINCE we will not accept someone with IR experience only.

Duties:

1. Assessment Skills: Competent knowledge of all normal stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric. Performs thorough systematic comprehensive and accurate assessments.
2. Clinical Skills: Demonstrates competent clinical skills. Provides appropriate nursing care to the units population. Demonstrates knowledge and skill of emergency equipment and procedures.
3. Documentation: Maintains complete and accurate documentation according to guidelines. Assumes primary responsibility for documenting components of the nursing process and patients progress in the chart.
4. Professionalism: Demonstrates professional practice responsibility knowledge of policies and procedures and identifies areas for clinical and professional growth.
5. Patient Satisfaction: Responds to patients/families and coworkers professionally courteously and positively. Maintains confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
6. Safety: Follows National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol. Demonstrates safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics for self and patients.
7. Unit Specific Job Function: Demonstrates knowledge of conditions/diagnoses procedures and equipment for surgical patients. Individualizes patient care according to procedure and anesthesia type.
8. Responsibility and Accountability: Assumes responsibility and accountability for directing patient care prioritizing based on patient needs and condition changes.
9. Patient Education and Chart Completion: Assesses patient understanding of surgical procedure/instructions involves patients and family members in teaching. Performs preoperative and postoperative assessment and education.
10. Duties Specific to PAT RN: Supports completion of patient testing in a timely manner. Evaluates Pre Admission Testing (PAT) orders for appropriateness and potential omissions.

Physical Requirements: As defined by Occupational Safety/OMS

Skills Required:

• 2 years critical care experience
• RN License
• BLS
• ACLS

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associates or Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
