Senior Software Engineer IBM Sterling Gateway and ITX

Project Summary

for a Senior Software Engineer who will act as an internal subject matter expert on their IBM Sterling Gateway and ITX (IBM Transformation Extender) products.
Essential Functions

The hired resource will be taking on a Production Support role and will be responsible for converting the EDI 837 files that are received (inbound) through IBM Sterling Gateway and use ITX to convert the 837 files to an internal proprietary format so CareFirst can process claims and send back (outbound) the claims through the Axway tool. The Senior Software Engineer will also do root cause analysis and resolutions whenever the tools encounter any issues.

Top Five Skills Required

5 years of operational support experience working on IBM Sterling Gateway.
Experience using ITX (IBM Transformation Extender) to convert and map inbound/outbound data
Healthcare industry experience
Experience working with EDI 837 files

Nice to have skills

Java/J2EE programming background
Healthcare claims experience
Production support background
Secure transport/Axway experience
Any IT related certifications
