Job Description:
Job Purpose: This position will be crucial for ensuring the reliability efficiency and safety of mechanical operations thereby contributing to the overall productivity and profitability of the plant.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the maintenance of all mechanical equipment in the plant including crushers kilns mills and conveyors. This involves planning and scheduling maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functioning of machinery.
- Leading and managing a team of mechanical engineers technicians and maintenance staff. This includes assigning tasks providing training and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Working towards cost reduction inventory management in terms of spare parts enabling you to adhere maintenance schedules for achieving department target.
- Conducting regular inspections and performance evaluations of mechanical equipment to identify potential issues or areas for improvement. This may involve coordinating with other departments such as production E&I and quality control to ensure optimal performance.
- Overseeing mechanicalrelated projects such as equipment upgrades installations or modifications. This includes planning coordinating resources monitoring progress and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Identifying opportunities for process optimization efficiency improvements and cost reduction within the mechanical department. This may involve implementing new technologies by adopting best practices.
- Developing and implementing emergency response plans for mechanicalrelated incidents such as equipment failures or safety breaches. This includes coordinating with other departments and external agencies to mitigate risks and minimize downtime.
- Providing training and development opportunities for departmental staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in mechanical engineering maintenance practices and safety protocols.
