In 201516 we identified the limitations of available technology and solutions in fashion forecasting and demand planning which are often subjective. These traditional methods fail to address the fundamental challenges in fashion trend spotting and forecasting leading to significant wastage in the industry. The business metrics of fullprice sellthrough remain around 50% creating over USD 750 billion of wastage globally each year due to illinformed decisionmaking.
We recognized the need for a different kind of technology and approach which led to the creation of Stylumia. We are a Deep Tech company solving fundamental retail challenges. We have products that impact the daily lives of various multidisciplinary personas across the value chain striving to help them eliminate wastage in the industry by augmenting their decisions with consumerbacked insights.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Ability to selfstart and work in a challenging environment by navigating ambiguity and bringing structure.
- Strong problemsolving skills using first principles.
- Prior internship experience in a relevant quantitative field (e.g. Computer Vision Machine Learning Data Science Applied Mathematics Statistics Computer Science AI Engineering) is a plus.
- Expertise in Python with strong coding skills especially in data science and computer vision libraries/frameworks such as OpenCV TensorFlow PyTorch and scikitimage.
- Experience in data wrangling and analyzing large complex datasets both structured and unstructured.
- Proven track record of building computer vision models for tasks such as image classification object detection segmentation and image generation through projects or internships.
- Ability to work with crossfunctional teams with high levels of collaboration.
- Fundamental knowledge of Explainable AI and decoding blackbox models.
- Proficiency in data visualization.
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Strong problemsolving and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and challenge the status quo when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to all stages of computer vision projects from translating complex business problems into computer vision problems to performing data analysis and modeling and providing solutions to the business.
- Work closely with the computer vision team on fastmoving projects involving research and development within image recognition visual search and other computer vision applications relevant to the fashion and retail industry.
- Collaborate closely with leadership engineering and other stakeholders including product managers business teams and customer success teams to deliver impactful business insights.
- Operate with a high level of integrity (Do What We Say) and expect the same from coworkers.
