Job Description
DESCRIPTION
Provide SQL Server database developments to deliver teams including ongoing development troubleshooting performance tuning and upgrade management help manage the daytoday activities from a support and maintenance perspective and ensure that the productions environments running applications are stable. Develop test and debug and implement complex database components software tools and utilities required for the operation maintenance and control of the current and future DB systems.
1. Implement database technology best suited to meet business application requirements and the technical infrastructure environment.
2. Assist in formulation of standard and procedures relating to data base administration for Oracle and SQL Server.
3. Implement processes to assure comprehensive backups of database and a quick/efficient recovery method.
4. Provide spirited positive leadership in the implementation of systems projects. Challenge obsolete practices question accepted truths and eliminate nonvalueadded processes. Develop practical systems scope that enhances the business function. Control the project scope resources and quality within budget and schedule to meet objectives.
5. Provide analysis counsel and direction to management and personnel of operating units to analyze problems and develop solutions as well as assure efficient operation of existing systems. Maintain an understanding of business processes and the implications of computer systems on these processes.
6. Prepare and conduct project review meetings and management presentations including general design review project scheduling test plan system and program tactics and methods system controls procedures systems documentation and system implementation plan.
7. Develop highlevel system specifications. Assist in developing system documentation. Advise on user procedures. Assist in the preparation of general test plan. Coordinate system tests.
8. Participate in educational programs and professional societies involving supervisory skills computing technology and systems methodologies. Seek ways to expand business knowledge.
9. Conduct educational programs involving company personnel relating to computing technology and specific projects.
10. Perform other related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor s degree from any IT related field
5 years IT experience in Database Development (Must Have)
Working knowledge with SQL scripting skills (Must Have)
Working knowledge creating and optimizing database queries indexes stored procedures functions triggers and events (Must Have)
Working knowledge with database planning and design setup maintenance performance tuning and partitioning (Preferred)
Experience with working on Industrial IoT projects (Preferred)
Understanding of manufacturing processes (Preferred)
