Job Description
Our client is one of the leading digital companies and Germanys largest comparison portal.
With their flight comparison the company wants to help customers find and book the perfect flight as easily and cheaply as possible. They offer thousands of customers a transparent comparison of the offers of several hundred airlines every day via a wide range of devices (e.g. apps mobile and desktop).
The company is looking for a Junior PHP Backend Developer who will work on developing innovative solutions and optimizing the experience of millions of users. The companys focus on clean code and the latest technologies enable you to expand your programming knowledge constantly.

Location: Berlin Germany
Type of contract: Permanent onsite
Responsibilities:
- Deal with topics relating to our clients flight comparison from comparison results to booking routes to selfservices in the customer area after booking. You will be in close contact with the frontend teams and external partners.
- Together with the team of experienced developers you will work on the further development and maintenance of the overall architecture consisting of the backend databases caches etc. (comparison mask comparison result final route REST API).
- Contribute to the expansion of our clients automated release process (continuous integration) and quality assurance (unit testing).
- Expand your knowledge through companywide tech talks and weekly teaminternal knowledge transfer meetings.
Requirements
- A successfully completed IT degree (computer science media informatics business informatics or similar) or training as an IT specialist.
- Basic knowledge of objectoriented programming with PHP and at least one relational database (e.g. MySQL).
- Strong quality awareness handson mentality excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team as well as a high level of commitment.
- German C1 is a must.
- English skills are a plus.
