Job Description: Cloud AWS Developer REMOTE
Position: Cloud AWS Developer
Location: 121 S.W. Salmon St. Portland OR 97204 (Remote work acceptable must be comfortable working in PST time zone)
Work Hours: Regular Mon Fri 85 PST; this position has the opportunity for an extension
Roles & Responsibilities
Team and Work Environment:
- Team size includes 45 onsite and around 15 offshore members including developers business analysts and testers.
- Be part of agile scrum teams in designing and developing solutions according to standards in targeted sprints.
- The person in this role will highly collaborate with the team to translate business requirements into technical requirements and complete the design development peer review and unit testing.
- The top priority for the worker over the first few weeks/months is to be a gogetter who can get up and running fast and deliver outcomes.
- Biggest challenge in this role is being able to ramp up fast.
What would a day in the life of this role look like
- Participate in daily scrum meetings.
- Collaborate with team members to design and develop software solutions.
- Conduct peer reviews and unit testing.
- Integrate and deploy new features and updates.
- Interact with business analysts and testers to ensure the quality and functionality of deliverables.
Minimum Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Python Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Python programming language with experience in developing RESTful APIs and integrating thirdparty APIs.
- AWS Expertise: Solid understanding of AWS serverless cloud architecture services and deployment best practices including but not limited to S3 Lambda API Gateway Step functions IAM and CloudFormation.
- ProblemSolving: Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- SQL Proficiency: Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing data within Snowflake or other relational databases.
Top 3 NiceToHaves:
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively.
- NoSQL Experience: Handson experience with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
- AWS Certifications: Any AWS cloud certifications are a plus.
Education Requirements:
- Requires a bachelors degree in business computer science engineering management or other related fields or equivalent experience.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
