Job Summary:
The Finance Assistant will provide highlevel quality and comprehensive finance support services to the Housing Advisory Service.
They will be adaptable able to follow standard operating procedures with limited supervision and deliver an effective efficient and customerfocused service in line with Corporate Policies and within national and local legislative requirements.
The role will actively support the Housing Advisory Service in monitoring and reporting on expenditure salaries and budget and assist the management team in making costed decisions by providing accurate financial data and analysis enabling greater control and insight over areas of budgetary responsibility.
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
Monitor and report on expenditure salaries and budget within the Housing Advisory Service.
Assist the management team in making costed decisions by providing accurate financial data and analysis.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Collaborate with service teams to manage financial aspects of the Housing Advisory Service Work Plan.
Participate in financial audits and implement audit recommendations.
Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
Provide support for any ad hoc financial projects or initiatives.
Essential Experience Required:
Experience in a finance role preferably within a housing or public sector environment.
Experience of working within finance or business administration preferably within a housing local authority or public sector organisation is preferred.
Essential Qualifications Required:
A degree in finance accounting or a related field is preferred.
Additional information to note:
The role will be hybrid working working at Edmonton Housing Hub /home.
9am 5pm (35Hrs P/Wk.)
