The role

This is a pivotal role within our company and we are looking for a strong candidate to be part of our team. Duties will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for limited companies.
• Preparing accounts and tax returns for sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Client relationship building.
• Occasional onsite visits.
• Adhering to deadlines and keeping principals informed of progress.
• Liaising with other departments in the firm.

Essential skills

• At least 23 years experience gained in a similar senior accounts/accountant role preferably within practice.
• Fully ACCA or ACA qualified we will consider an unqualified or partqualified candidate in exceptional circumstances.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey financial information to our clients in a clear and easy to understand way.
• Knowledge of digital software mainly Xero and Sage Cloud.
• Up to date knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102.
• Corporation and personal tax knowledge.
• Any knowledge of either Iris or Tax Calc would be an advantage.
