Job Title: Maintenance Technician/Mechanic
Location: Franklin Park IL
Department: Manufacturing
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Role: Servicing molding machines and auxiliary equipment
Responsibilities: Ensuring safety quality control cost control and continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department
Duties: Compliance with health and safety regulations reporting potential electrical/mechanical problems maintaining a clean and organized work environment troubleshooting and repairing equipment diagnosing breakdowns performing preventative maintenance assisting other personnel with troubleshooting maintaining equipment performance records and being able to work any shift and overtime
Education Requirements: High school graduate or General Education Degree with a twoyear technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program or 5 years equivalent workrelated experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
Skills: Strong maintenance ability ability to work independently detailoriented flexible with new ideas able to read and follow work instructions and excellent problemsolving and organizational skills
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit stand or walk for up to 12 hours per day lift up to 50 pounds comply with all safety standards and procedures and wear personal protective equipment
Equipment Operation: Knowledge and ability to safely operate forklifts power tools and hand tools.
