Overview:
The Admission Counselor plays a crucial role in the organization responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process providing information and offering support to ensure a smooth transition into the institution. Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with prospective students and families to provide comprehensive information about the admissions process and requirements
- Review and evaluate applications and supporting materials for admissions decisions
- Assist in organizing and conducting campus tours information sessions and recruitment events
- Provide personalized counseling to prospective students regarding academic programs and career paths
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless transition for admitted students
- Participate in outreach and recruitment efforts through high school visits and college fairs
- Track and maintain accurate records of prospective student interactions and application statuses
- Contribute to the development and implementation of effective recruitment strategies
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in admissions and enrollment management
- Handle inquiries and concerns effectively and professionally
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Education Counseling or related field
- Prior experience in admissions student services or related field
- Demonstrated understanding of the college admissions process and financial aid
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
- Knowledge of educational systems and accreditation standards
