The Role:
We are seeking a talented and creative Software Development Engineer in Test with experience in big data applications for our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through automated testing and continuous integration practices. As an SDET you will collaborate
closely with software developers and other stakeholders to design develop and execute automated test suites as well as identify and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner. This role offers the opportunity to work on cuttingedge projects collaborating with crossfunctional teams to deliver impactful solutions in the realm of big data analytics. Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks tools and scripts to support software testing efforts across multiple projects.
- Design and implement test cases scenarios and strategies to validate software functionality performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand requirements identify test scenarios and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily standups and sprint reviews.
- Execute automated test suites analyze test results and report defects in a clear and concise manner.
- Perform root cause analysis of defects and work with development teams to implement effective solutions.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency reliability and quality.
- Stay updated on industry best practices emerging technologies and trends in software testing and test automation.
- Join our engineering enlightenment group to discuss books work through online courses and other activities to continuously learn about our craft.
- Participate in agile ceremonies like standups planning and retrospectives.
- Develop features from a well defined product backlog.
- Pair with your teammates as needed to help push yourself and the project forward.
- Mentor team members in the ways of SDET.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of proven experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or similar role with a strong background in test automation and software quality assurance.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java Ruby Nodejs or JavaScript with handson experience in test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium Appium Cypress).
- Solid understanding of software testing principles methodologies and techniques including unit testing integration testing and endtoend testing.
- Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins Travis CI Azure DevOps).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git SVN) and issue tracking systems (e.g. Jira Bugzilla).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Excellent collaboration and teamwork abilities with a customerfocused mindset and a commitment to delivering highquality software products.
- Experience with big data processing technologies such as Spark Hadoop or Kafka.
- Familiarity with NoSQL and SQL database systems for querying and manipulating large datasets.
- Familiarity with data science
- Excellent problemsolving skills creative thinking and the ability to work well under pressure to iteratively optimize and innovate products.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional team environment.
- Able to give and receive constructive feedback to continuously improve solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have healthcare domain experience.
- AWS managed solutions for large data sets like S3 EMR or Redshift
