Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting oneonone counseling sessions with clients to assess their educational and career goals.
• Providing information on international study programs work opportunities and visa requirements.
• Assisting clients in identifying suitable universities colleges or job placements overseas.
• Guiding clients through the application process for educational institutions and employment opportunities abroad.
• Assessing clients language proficiency and offering resources for language learning programs.
• Collaborating with academic institutions employers and immigration authorities to stay updated on regulations and opportunities abroad.
• Organizing and presenting information sessions workshops and cultural orientation programs.
• Offering support in securing scholarships financial aid and sponsorships for international study or work.
• Providing advice on cultural adaptation housing and living arrangements in a foreign country.
• Offering guidance on career development networking and job search strategies in international settings.
• Keeping accurate records of client interactions and program participation for reporting purposes.
• Participating in professional development activities to stay current with trends in international education and employment.
• Contributing to marketing and recruitment efforts to attract potential clients for overseas opportunities.
• Resolving client concerns and addressing any challenges they may encounter during the overseas experience.
• Collaborating with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive environment for clients.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Counseling Education International Relations or a related field.
• Professional certification in career counseling or study abroad advising is preferred.
• Prior experience in international education counseling or advising roles.
• Demonstrated knowledge of study abroad programs admissions processes and global employment trends.
• Strong understanding of visa and immigration regulations for various countries.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse clients.
• Ability to provide culturally sensitive guidance and support to individuals from different backgrounds.
• Strong problemsolving and critical thinking abilities to address complex client needs.
• Proficiency in using counseling software and databases for client management and reporting.
• Knowledge of foreign languages and crosscultural communication is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and travel requirements for client support.
• Commitment to ethical practices and confidentiality in handling client information.
