Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Performing comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic tests
• Diagnosing and treating various eye conditions diseases and injuries
• Performing surgeries such as cataract surgery refractive surgery and other ophthalmic procedures
• Prescribing medication to treat eye conditions and diseases
• Providing pre and postoperative care for surgical patients
• Managing and overseeing the ophthalmic team and staff
• Offering guidance and training to medical students residents and other healthcare professionals
• Participating in clinical research and contributing to scientific advancements in ophthalmology
• Collaborating with other medical specialists for integrated patient care
• Participating in administrative and leadership duties within the department

Required Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Ophthalmology
• Valid medical license to practice as an Ophthalmologist
• Board certification in Ophthalmology
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Ophthalmologist in a clinical setting
• Proven track record of successful surgical procedures and patient outcomes
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmic diagnosis treatment and surgical techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Uptodate knowledge of advancements in ophthalmic technology and treatments
• Commitment to providing compassionate and patientcentered care
• Experience in mentoring and teaching medical students and residents
• Demonstrated involvement in ophthalmic research and publications
• Attention to detail and strong decisionmaking abilities
