Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough eye examinations to diagnose and treat various eye conditions
• Performing surgical procedures to correct vision problems or treat eye diseases
• Prescribing and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses
• Managing and treating ocular injuries and diseases such as glaucoma cataracts and retinal disorders
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
• Using advanced technology and equipment for precise diagnosis and treatment
• Educating patients about eye health preventive measures and treatment options
• Participating in clinical research and staying updated with medical advancements
• Managing medical records and maintaining patient confidentiality
• Adhering to ethical and legal standards in medical practice

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ophthalmology residency program
• Board certification in ophthalmology
• State medical license to practice as an ophthalmologist
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of eye conditions and diseases
• Strong surgical skills and experience in performing various eye surgeries
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Keen attention to detail and ability to analyze complex eye health issues
• Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• High ethical standards and compliance with medical regulations and best practices
