What seemed most important was security experience specifically withDDoS and Scraping protection. It is also important that the consultant has worked withEnvoy or similar platforms and that you have a basic understanding of Golang.

Description

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer/Senior Envoy Engineer that will join the team in our Platform mission that is responsible for our Perimeter infrastructure especially around our Envoybased reverseproxy that receives every external traffic.

The goal will be to implement security features (rate limiting WAF etc.) on our perimeter.

What we will build

Over the next 6 months we aim to implement multiple protections in our perimeter (Edge) to protect us from bad traffic such as DDoS scraping etc. While these are problems we can never be fully rid of we aim to significantly improve the protections our platform has against these issues.

We will have 3 main deliverables:

rate limiting in Edge

Per user/client quota system

WAF and blocking API functionality

About the role

We are looking for a senior backend/infra engineer with good Envoy experiences to join our Envoy dedicated taskforce.

Relevant skills:

Envoy experience(required we will write Envoy filters)

One of: C/go (must have at least one)

Grounding in web application security (desired)
